Sopa del dia: Lentil curry mango ! Suze’s special recipe. Maybe she’ll share it if you ask reeeallllllly nicely?
Also here’s a sneak preview of what’s to come this fall:
Goat Cheese, Prosciutto, Honey & Arugula Sammich. Mmmmm….Elena and Foster have got some ideas, those girls do!
With our prowess and power combined, we’ve created homemade lentil boigas! Served with sundried tomato spread, goat cheese n’ fresh basil on sesame semolina. One stop shop for lunch today we’ve got cauliflowa chowda with fresh red peppa and corn.
And the OJ machine is arockin’. $1 for a small, $2 for a large.
Last Friday the 22nd, the week of our one-year anniversary, T.O.G. was lucky enough to share the day with SELMites from all over Ann Arbor. We made some (a lot actually!) TOGriddle sandwiches: Bacon (or Jeff’s house-cured pancetta), egg n’ cheese sandwiched between two pancakes.
As a second option, we had herb omelettes with a mystery lemon herb n’ cilantro served with a side of pancetta or bacon and some homemade bread with butter.
As always, it was a pleasure of ours to share a giant yet cozy kitchen with Jeff, Lisa and all the wonderful volunteers of SELMA. And happy birthday to Nevon who turned 20 on Friday!
Burritos aren’t just for breakfast anymore ! Check out our lunch special today:
Pulled pork burrito with a spicy black bean, mango n’ pepper salsa. Topped with the elixir of life…avocado!
For those soup lovers we’ve also got sweet potato, roasted jalapeno leek soup with swiss chard. Mmmm…the definition of health. Come Taste Our Goods!
If you haven’t tried Suze’s sweet potato leek soup yet, today was/is the day! It’s got the creamy goodness of soup (without cream!) and a slight kick at the end from roasted jalapenos! And we’re sure you’re going to love the combination of Suzy and Elena in the kitchen…Elena, our newest employee, has a knack for veggie and vegan cooking and will soon be the mastermind behind all of TOG-ing as she takes over the lunch counter this upcoming fall.
Stay tuned for profiles of Elena and the rest of TOG employees…
Ya’ll ready for this? TOG goes streamlined with a few less sammiches and a few more specials (push and prod us for daily specials! we’re gonna do ‘em…daily!) Like today, for instance we’re gonna do grass-fed beef burgers with garlic aioli on burger buns! Yummmm….
Here’s our new menu!!

What’s suzy stewin up in that big pot o’ hers??
Sweet potato jalapeno soup! mmmm…sweet and spicy, just like…well, all of us!
Sneak previews of a Springtime menu…
Sophie’s Greek Salad with feta, Kalamata olives, banana peppers, red onion n’ tomatoes
Drizzled with a tamari-sesame dressing … a K-town twist on the Mediterranean classic
As some of you may know, a few weeks ago we were lucky enough to cater an event called “Yelp Geeks Out” at the Vault of Midnight on Main Street. Many were in attendance, all of whom we believe went home satisfied and possibly with Iron Man sippy cups.
Mariah Cherem, the Community Manager for Metro Detroit Yelp, invited us to take part in this sweet event and so we’re just takin a minute here to say thanks to Mariah! And also share some links to pics/reviews of the event. Keep on tastin the goods!
